Got a question from a client the other day.
”I have a python process running, can I stream messages from this process to my Quantlab users?”.

It is a good and relevant question with an easy answer. Yes. Very simple. See below example where we feed a sequence number to an IQC server (Inter-Quantlab Communicator) every second. This triggers a realtime tick on the IQC feed for all Quantlabs that listens to that feed and id.

ps. I you have quantlab installed already. You can use the raw realtime feed UI to test your realtime feeds coming into quantlab. just use cmd line: quantlab-64.exe -R to open this UI. ds.
